TEMPERATURES could top 30C this weekend in Dorset as the warm weather continues.
Today the mercury will rise to 29C with 30C forecast for tomorrow and 29C for Sunday.
Yesterday the Met Office issued a warning of torrential rain and thunderstorms for Bournemouth, Poole and the rest of the county. It was also valid for London and the South East.
They also warned flooding and lightning strikes could occur and power could be lost in some parts.
The warning was in place from 12pm until 7pm.
The Met Office said as much as 20 to 30mm of rain could fall within the space of an hour.
Rain was also seen across Ringwood and Lytchett Matravers.
The warm weather is expected to last well into next week with no immediate signs of it coming to an end.
Wessex Weather said: "After today’s showers, high pressure will build again bringing temperatures of 28-32°C to Southern England over the weekend. There is no sign of any significant breakdown in the weather until mid July."
