CCTV images of a 'suspicious' pick-up truck have been released by police, following the theft of gardening equipment from a property in north Dorset.

The burglary took place at outbuildings near Shillingstone around 11.40pm on Friday, June 22.

A number of milk churns and various petrol-powered gardening tools had been stolen from inside one of the buildings.

Tools taken included two Husqvarna chainsaws, a Stihl blower, Stihl hedge-trimmer and a Stihl hammer.

Police Constable Glen Caddy, of North Dorset Police, said: "We are continuing to make enquiries into this burglary and as part of our investigation we have obtained CCTV footage showing a suspicious vehicle that was in the area at the time.

"The vehicle is a four-door grey or silver pickup truck that has a silver bull bar with two spotlights on it. At the rear is a custom-made back, which is painted black.

"It is quite a distinctive vehicle and I am appealing for anyone who recognises it to contact us.

"I would also still like to hear from anyone who has been offered any items matching those taken during the burglary in unusual circumstances since Friday, June 22."
