CHANGES are under way at two post offices in neighbouring villages.
Broadstone's post office will relocate to a new shop next month. The office has been based at 14 Dunyeats Road for two years while several shops and offices were demolished to build retirement flats.
From Monday, July 2, the office will be based at 6 Dunyeats Road. The branch, which will be open between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am until 1pm on Saturday, will have five serving positions.
Corfe Mullen's post office in Badbury View Road is also due to be revamped. The branch will close for refurbishment on July 2 at 12.30pm and reopen on Thursday, July 12 at 1pm.
It will then be open for an additional 19 hours each week under new postmaster Nicholas Macqueen.
The branch will be open between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, and 8am until 1pm on Saturdays.
Marie Tighe, network change manager, said: "This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office."
