KEY players from Lush and Jimmy’s Iced Coffee will be among those sharing advice for new businesses at a Virgin StartUp event.

Adam Goswell was co-founder of Lush Digital four years ago and is the Poole-based brand’s global head of digital design and creative technology.

He led Lush’s “mobile first” strategy, saying: “If everyone’s got a phone in their pocket, everyone’s essentially carrying round a high-powered computer and we should take advantage of that.”

He launched Lush’s first digital ethics campaign, a collaboration with the campaign group Access Now to raise awareness and funding to prevent government internet shutdowns across the world.

Joining him at the event is Suzie Owen, co-founder with her brother Jimmy Cregan of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee. She will tell how the brand has scaled to reach its current success.

Completing the line-up is Jo Cruickshanks, co-founder of Bournemouth digital agency Bare Collective. She will tell how she helps brands such as Pretty Green, Kelly Hoppen, Hermes, Hackett and Finisterre to tell their stories digitally.

How to Make Your Marketing Matter, is on Wednesday, July 25, 6-8.30pm, at THIS Workspace in the Daily Echo building. Tickets cost £10 plus VAT by visiting bit.ly/2yTtyKp
