A MAN will face a trial after an alleged stabbing in Boscombe last month.

Billy Haynes is charged with wounding with intent and unlawful wounding in connection with an incident on May 2.

The 23-year-old, of Bradley Street in Cardiff, appeared via prison video link for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday. He pleaded not guilty to both charges, and a trial will take place in August.

Police were called to Windsor Road by paramedics shortly before 8pm on the day of the incident.

Casualty Abdul Tarakheil had suffered stab injuries to his upper body. He is believed to have sustained the wounds in nearby Cecil Road.

Initially, it was thought Mr Tarakheil had sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and he was flown to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance. However, he has since been released from hospital.

Two Bournemouth men aged 25 and 21 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released under investigation.
