COULD your child be the winner of our new Child of the Year competition for 2018?

This year our popular competition has a new format, making it even easier for you to enter.

There are four different age categories to enter and a winner will be chosen from each category.

Then from the four winners, an overall winner will be selected.

The four categories are:

  • unisex 0-9 months
  • unisex 10-18 months
  • unisex 19-36 months
  • unisex 3-6 years

Each category winner will win a family day ticket (valid for two adults and two children) to Weymouth Sea Life Centre including access to Pirate Adventure Golf and Jurassic Skyline.

The overall winner will also win a breakfast with the seals experience for four people.

Weymouth Sea Life Centre is home to more than 1,000 creatures, Caribbean Cove - Dorset’s largest outdoor adventure playground - as well as a splash zone and pool all included in admission. 

Touch a starfish in the outdoor interactive rock pool or marvel at majestic sharks in the Ocean Tunnel.

Plus, new for 2018, visit the only colony of Fairy Penguins in Europe.

Upload your image online by clicking the button below, don't forget to indicate the name / age of your child in the photo description and to only submit one image of each child.

Entry to the Daily Echo Child Of The Year Competition is free

The closing date for entries is August 11, 2018.

A supplement of all the pictures will appear in the Daily Echo on August 28, 2018.

Readers will then be invited to vote for the child they would like to see crowned as the winner of the Daily Echo Child of the Year portrait competition by post, text and phone.

Full details will be printed within the supplement.
