THIEVES stole gardening tools and milk churns in North Dorset.

At around 11.40pm on Friday, June 22, it was reported that a burglary had occurred at outbuildings near Shillingstone during the past hour.

A number of milk churns were taken from a yard and various petrol-powered gardening tools were stolen from inside one of the buildings.

Two Husqvarna chainsaws, a Stihl blower, Stihl hedgetrimmer and a Stihl strimmer were taken.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time to come forward.

Police Constable Glen Caddy, of North Dorset police, said: “I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered equipment matching the items taken or come across milk churns for sale in unusual circumstances.”
