THE A35 Christchurch bypass was down to one lane over weekend due to a burst water main.
The lane closure on the A35 is expected to be lifted by Wednesday following emergency work by Wessex Water. It is on the section between Somerford roundabout and Stony Lane roundabout.
A spokesperson for the company said: "We spent the weekend carrying out repairs to a burst rising main close to the A35. These repairs have now been completed.
"One lane of the road remains closed in order to carry out landscape works as quickly and safely as possible. The lane closure is expected to be lifted by Wednesday.
"We apologise to anyone who has been delayed or inconvenienced as a result of this work."
