THE Isle of Wight festival is celebrating its big five-oh. And what a weekend they've got for it.

The sun's shining, music's pumping and the booze is flowing.

The festival kicked off on Thursday, with party-goers descending in their masses on Seaclose Park with tents, beer and plenty of glitter.

We headed down to the main stage to see Rita Ora who did not disappoint.

Her energetic performance saw her flipping her hair back and forth, dancing, jumping and working the crowd as she belted out hit after hit. It was a real party atmosphere and a great warm-up for what was to come.

I've seen Nile Rogers and Chic a handful of times and every time I see them it just gets better and better.

The disco group had everyone singing and dancing along. Love them.

But then it was on to the main event - Kasabian. What a band.

Their 90-minute set was met with cheers, chanting and mosh-pits.

Opening with 'Ill Ray (The King)' it was banger after banger.

Tonight Jessie J, Kodaline, Liam Gallagher and Depeche Mode play the main stage.
