A WOMAN was injured in a hit and crash in Wimborne.
The crash happened at Broomhill crossroads, at the junction of Colehill Lane and Pilford Lane, at 7.35pm on Monday, June 18.
A silver saloon car failed to stop at the junction at the end of Colehill Lane and collided with a black Mini Cooper travelling towards Holt.
The car then continued in the direction of Holt along Harts Lane after failing to stop at the scene.
The driver of the Mini – a local woman aged in her 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken wrist.
Enquiries are underway to identify the other driver and vehicle involved.
Police Constable Mike Burt, of East Dorset police, said: “The car that failed to stop is described as similar in size to a Volkswagen Jetta and will have sustained significant damage to the driver’s side.
