BURGLARS are stealing cars from Purbeck driveways, police have warned.

Two incidents took place within hours earlier this week. In the first, which took place sometime between 9pm on June 18 and 7am the following day, offenders broke into a house in De Moulham Road, Swanage near the North Beach car park.

Keys were stolen and a blue 18-plate Volkswagen Golf was taken from the driveway.

A second burglary then took place in East Street, Corfe Castle sometime between 1.30am and 2am on June 19. The offenders broke into a property through a window, found a set of car keys and stole a blue Audi S4 Quattro estate from the drive.

Officers are investigating both incidents. Anyone who may have CCTV should contact the force via 101.

Drivers who have dashcams and may have been travelling in the area at the time should also contact officers.
