SCORES of cars remained at the BOMO Parking Services site yesterday as Bournemouth Airport continued to support people impacted by the sudden closure of the off-site facility.
As flights landed at the airport yesterday, users of BOMO were advised to go straight to the information desk where they received their keys after providing their identity.
Staff have been left to pick up the pieces after keys to 300 vehicles parked at Adventure Wonderland were handed in to the airport on Wednesday morning.
Holidaymakers returning from Mallorca yesterday said they received an email from BOMO the previous evening.
John Appleby, who lives in Park Gate, Southampton, said he initially thought the email was a scam.
Having returned from a two-week holiday with his he family, airport staff assisted him in getting to his car.
"We used the service last year and had no problems at all - it was very organised," he said.
"There is not a lot we could do while we were abroad.
"The airport have been very good. They took us over to pick up the car and let us drive back to load our stuff up.
"It was a good set up. If someone can take it on and keep it in order then I'm sure people will use it again."
