A road near Blandford Forum is closed after a crash this morning.
Police were called to the two car crash on Higher Shaftesbury Road around 8.59am.
The road is closed between Bowers Barn and Bushes Cross.
Fire and ambulance are in attendance.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Blandford and Shaftesbury Fire Station attended a road traffic collision on the Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford Forum.
"Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving one private vehicle and a van, which one person medically trapped.
"Crews stabilised the vehicle before using hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty from the car.
"One casualty was taken to hospital by road ambulance and no further actions by the Fire and Rescue Service were required."
Police confirmed the casualty was a woman.
The road was open by 10.20am.
