I READ with concern the article about litter in the car park in Queens Road (Daily Echo, June 12).
As is the case in the majority of car parks throughout Bournemouth, bins are provided for users of the car park to dispose of their litter. On this occasion the pictures were taken at 6.30am, just before the daily refuse collection team would have visited the car park.
The council is of course always mindful of seasonal demands for rubbish collection, especially given that this particular car park doubles up as a coach park as well. As a ward councillor, I have asked council officers to review the arrangements for the Queens Road car park to ensure that the area is adequately provided for bins and frequency of collections.
