THREE Poole medics - including one who was actually born in Poole Hospital - are taking part in a new BBC quiz hosted by comedian Jo Brand.
Britain’s Best Junior Doctors pits teaching hospitals from far and wide against each other as a host of junior doctors put their new found skills and knowledge to the test as part of a season celebrating the NHS's 70th birthday.
Eight teams of three junior doctors will take part in five rounds which will reveal the wonders of modern medicine and the human body, said the BBC.
The two highest scoring teams from the week return for the Friday final and the winners will receive the coveted golden stethoscope and the prestigious title of Britain’s Best Junior Doctors.
Poole's team include doctors Jen, Christian and their captain Rosie. Rosie was actually born in the hospital that she now works in and is currently on rotation in geriatrics. Jen has three degrees under her belt and a PhD after studying for 12 years. She is currently on rotation in paediatrics and hopes to specialise in haematology. Christian went straight into medical school aged 18.
Britain's Best Junior Doctors will be screened on BBC2 later this summer.
