A DISGUSTED resident has called on Bournemouth council to do more to keep a busy car and coach park free of litter.
Robert Readman took pictures at Bourne Close, off Queens Road, of an overflowing bin and associated rubbish scattered on the ground.
He captured the images at 6.30am yesterday.
He told the Daily Echo: “The one small 4-wheel litter bin provided is totally inadequate for the number of vehicles - up to a couple of dozen large coaches at any one time - that use the park.
“This mess is not at all unusual, indeed, it’s like this most mornings.”
He added: “The council needs to either provide more bins or increase the frequency of rubbish collection and, if necessary, increase the parking charges to cover the cost of clearing the appalling mess created when drivers dump the garbage left behind by their passengers, without any consideration for the environment.”
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Borough Council did not respond to the Daily Echo’s request for comment at the time of going to press.
