POLICE investigating a series of suspicious incidents involving schoolgirls at Poole bus station say they have identified a man they wish to speak to.
As reported in the Daily Echo, detectives launched an investigation after two teenagers were approached by an elderly man at the station in Kingland Road on four occasions between Monday, March 12 and Friday, March 16.
The girls, who had been waiting for their bus home, said the man touched their hair and made comments about how nice it was.
A further incident then took place at around 2.40pm on Monday, May 28 at the bus station.
Police carried out "extensive enquiries to identify the man and establish the background behind the incidents". However, their efforts were unsuccessful, and they appealed publicly for help to identify a man they hoped to speak to.
As a result, a man was identified this afternoon. He has been spoken to by officers and is assisting with the investigation.
