3. Dorset Midsummer Music Festival (or DorsetFest), June 15-16, is a family-friendly music festival at Warren Farm, near Blandford. Starts at 6pm on Friday and then midday on Saturday with food, drinks, gift stalls and children’s entertainment. Camping available on site. (midsummermusic.co.uk)

4. Dorset Dub Fest, June 29-July 1 at Herston Yards Farm, Swanage. Described as the biggest VW Party on the Jurassic Coast with a weekend of live entertainment, music, stalls and children’s entertainment.
