A PERSON has been taken to hospital after falling into a five-foot deep pit in Swanage.
The casualty suffered a reported shoulder injury and was taken to Poole Hospital following the accident at Railway Station Approach.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said they were called at 11:34am and attended the scene with two ambulances.
Meanwhile, fire crews from Swanage Fire Station helped rescue the casualty.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “Crews from Swanage attended a rescue of a casualty who had fallen into a five-foot deep pit. The casualty was rescued and handed over to the ambulance service.”
