POLICE seized two air guns that were being used to target members of the public in a New Forest park.
Officers were called to reports of youths firing BB guns at people in Woodside Park, Lymington, on Tuesday evening.
The guns, which were styled on a sub-machine gun and a pistol, were confiscated by police after attending the scene at around 5pm.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said that no one had been arrested. New Forest police team posted on social media that the youths would be “dealt with accordingly”.
Lymington ward councillor Anna Rostand said: “It is not good to hear this type of behaviour taking place.
“Hopefully police will be dealing with it.
“We do get these spikes in activity, but overall in Lymington I think we are pretty lucky.”
