THE air ambulance was called following a crash between a car and motorbike in Hamworthy on Saturday evening.
The crash happened in Blandford Road at the junction of Tuckers Lane.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.40pm.
A silver Yamaha motorbike and a silver Skoda Octavia were involved.
Although initially thought to be a serious crash, the motorcyclist suffered bruising only, according to a Dorset Police spokesperson.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Raven Stewart said the air ambulance landed in a field behind her house.
''It stayed about half an hour. There were at least three police cars and two ambulances.
''The road was closed for a time.''
