A31 closed after two-vehicle crash at Winterbourne Zelston
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A31 at Winterbourne Zelston.
Police were called to a collision on the A31 outside The Botany Bay Inne just before 4.45pm today.
The road is shut in both directions between the Roundhouse Roundabout at Sturminster Marshall and the A35 Shell roundabout at Bere Regis. There are delays in both directions.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "The fire service was called as someone was trapped in their car.
"A woman has been taken to Dorset County Hospital."
The extent of the woman's injuries is unknown.
A grey Hyundai and a white Vauxhall van were involved in the collision.
Recovery has been requested for both vehicles.
