ONE of the biggest names in UK yoga will hold a one-off workshop and class in Bournemouth later this month.

Four-time UK yoga champion Michael Eley, who is a senior Bikram and Fierce Grace teacher, will be visiting Yoga Lounge Bournemouth in Christchurch Road on May 19.

Michael’s hands-on workshop will focus on how to develop the core strength and stability needed to be able to balance on your arms or head.

He will also share techniques on how to transition between different yoga postures from the Fierce Grace sequence, crow, side crow, dolphin and more.

Michael Eley said: “The potential benefits of yoga are unlimited, it’s amazing how yoga can affect your whole life.

“The workshop at the Yoga Lounge will teach people to resist the force of gravity and realise the true strength that they already have.”

The workshop, which takes place between 11.30am and 1.30pm, is open to everyone and is suitable for all levels.

It will be followed at 2pm by a FLY, a Fierce Grace class, where participants will be able to put in to practice the techniques they have learnt during the workshop.

Amber Fidler, who owns Yoga Lounge Bournemouth, said: “Our workshops and unique events are always a great hit with our regular yogis and people who have never tried hot yoga before to get involved and experience something new - you don’t have to be a Yoga Lounge member to come along.”
