PLANS for a three-storey block of student flats in Bournemouth's Wimborne Road have been submitted.
ASN Capital Investments Ltd already has permission to build a two-storey block of 15 flats behind the existing Arts University Bournemouth block called Hector's House, at 676-680 Wimborne Road.
It has now submitted revised plans adding an extra floor and six additional flats. The site sits off the main road, behind the Winton YMCA.
A planning statement prepared by Adam Bennett of Ken Parke Planning Consultants states: "The only difference between the two schemes is the additional floor of development."
It adds: "The proposals are quite apparent on the application drawings and will make most effective use of the site to support the local need for dedicated student accommodation and the highly successful educational institution which it serves."
The existing building on the site and adjacent outbuilding contain 65 student flats.
The new scheme does not include parking for student residents.
