DORSET-based animal rescue charity, Margaret Green, is hoping to find permanent homes for three dogs and three cats in its care this week.
Twiglet is a 12-year-old cat and is a “sweet older gentleman who loves fuss and a lap.” He should be able to live with another cat or possibly a friendly dog and older children.
Alfie is a four-year-old cat who is outgoing and friendly. He likes to hunt so may bring his new owner a few presents. Alfie is looking for an adult home without other pets.
Roxy is a female domestic short hair cat who is very friendly and affectionate. She loves to be around people and should be fine to live with older children but would prefer to be the only cat. Roxy may be able to live with a friendly dog.
Elmo is a three-and-a-half-year-old ex-racing Greyhound. A handsome boy who loves to play, he can be quite laid back and enjoys regular cuddles. He could live with another sighthound and teenage children but not cats.
Gunner is a bouncy and playful nine-month-old Lurcher. He is looking for a fun active family who would enjoy taking him to training classes. He would need to be the only pet but can live with older children.
Finally, there’s Max. A nine-month-old Border Collie looking for an adult only family. He is very affectionate and loves playing with his toys. Max would prefer to be the only dog but can live with cats.
