A GROUP of travellers have set up camp at Poole Park's cricket pavilion.
According to users of the ground, around seven caravans arrived at the site off Copse Close on Tuesday.
This morning, a Poole council spokesperson confirmed that nine caravans, three campervans and associated vehicles were at the site.
"Toilets and a skip are going to be provided in accordance with council policy in order to minimise environmental contamination on the land," they said.
"The site will continue to be monitored as part of the legal process for the removal of the travellers."
Travellers in eleven caravans who set up an unauthorised encampment at the car park adjacent to Poole's leisure centre have now moved on.
