It's the Christchurch Food Festival this weekend. Here's your guide to what's on when and where.

What’s happening where?

The popular market will be in and around the High Street. In Saxon Square, there will be a pop-up seafood restaurant. Head to the Festival Village at Christchurch Quay for the Kids’ Kitchen, Demonstration Marquee, Dorset Inflatable Pub’s beer festival and an entertainment programme courtesy of Wave 105.

What's new for this year?

A vegan and vegetarian quarter will be making its debut in Church Street with delights from the likes of Dark Matters, Kara’s Vegan Supper Club, Gingernut Goodies and Tattiebogle Vegan Food.

What time does the Festival Market and Festival Village open?

The Festival Market and Village will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday and 10am and 5pm on Sunday.

Who’s appearing at the festival?

Festival ambassadors Lesley Waters and Dean Edwards will be joined by chocolatier and 2016 winner of BBC's The Apprentice, Alana Spencer, who will be in the Demonstration Marquee at 4pm on Sunday. Vegan baker, Mellissa Morgan (aka Ms Cupcake) will be making her debut appearance and showing off her skills at 11.15am on Sunday.

Local chefs include Simon Hallam, Colin Nash, Alex Aitken, Luke Matthews, Andrew Gault, James Golding, Paul Putt and Matt Budden.

Which traders will be there?

Purbeck Ice Cream, Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, Southbourne Ales, Giggi Gelateria, Dorset Ginger and Conker Gin are just some local producers who will be attending.

Should I drive? How else can I get there?

Parking can be very difficult during the festival and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead or use the bus, train, taxi or make their way across the river on the Wick Ferry.

The Park & Stride Car Park will be operating at Stanpit once again and will be open between 10am and 5pm with the gates locked at 7pm with space for around 500 cars. Parking costs £5 per car for all day parking.

Where are the toilets?

There are toilets in Saxon Square with additional portaloos in the town centre, as well as toilets on the Christchurch Quay

both of which have disabled toilets.

Anything else?

Saturday Night Live will see Dean Edwards and Alana Spencer demonstrate dishes and answer questions in the Demonstration Marquee between 7pm and 10.30pm. Costs £39.50 per person.
