POWER tools were stolen during an overnight raid at a home in Poole

Over the night between Monday (April 30) and Tuesday (May 1), the house in Hamble Road was broken into.

A number of items of machinery were stolen, including drills, and chainsaw and a disc cutter.

Police constable Warren Cummings, of Poole police, said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to please come forward.

"We have been making various enquiries into the incident, including CCTV and house-to-house, and I would ask that anyone who is offered such items for sale in suspicious circumstances to please come forward.

“I would advise residents to help protect their properties from burglars by ensuring they carry out some simple crime prevention steps to avoid becoming a victim.
