THE EQUIVALENT of 42 carrier bags of Tassimo coffee discs donated at Win on Waste sessions in March have been collected by Point2Point Transport from Verwood.
The discs will be recycled by Terracycle and money raised by the points awarded will go to the Poole Hospital Scanner Appeal.
They were collected as part of Ideas2Action's Win on Waste sessions, which collect the kind of rubbish that many people believe cannot be recycled.
Stamps are collected to raise money for Naomi House children's hospice, milk bottle tops go to Gift of Sight, and all empty packaging of any make of beauty products, including roll-on deodorants and facial wipe packets, are recycled by Ideas2Action.
The next Win on Waste session is being held at Canford Heath Library on Saturday.
Aside from the above items they'll also recycle clean yoghurt pots, ring pulls, aluminium foil, bubble wrap, biscuit wrappers, and dried up biros, felt tips, highlighters, board markers and empty Tipp-Ex bottles, which raise money for brain tumour research.
The session takes place from 10am-11am.
