A BREAST cancer charity has taken a big step forward in opening a beauty salon to support people suffering or recovering from the disease.
Going For Bust, which operates 12Â fundraising shops across Dorset and the New Forest, has been given permission to deliver pampering sessions at their base in Wimborne.
The charity applied to East Dorset District Council to change the use of one of their office units in the Square.
The proposal was approved by a planning officer and allows the organisation to now provide a means of supporting people who are affected by breast cancer.
In the application to the council, charity representative Paul Martin says the salon would offer massages, facial treatments and reflexology, as well as hair trimming or re-styling for people who are losing or regrowing their hair after chemotherapy.
He added that no medical or clinical procedures would take place.
