A SHAFTESBURY man is due to appear in court following an alleged attempted robbery.
Police were called to an incident in Weymouth at around 10.45pm on Tuesday, September 12 2017. It is alleged a man approached two other men as they walked in Crescent Street and Derby Street before repeatedly demanding money and threatening to stab them.
No weapon was seen, police say.
The complainants, two local men aged 18 and 19, were not physically injured.
A 22-year-old Shaftesbury man was arrested and has now been charged with two offences of attempted robbery.
He is due to appear before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 23.
