Armed police called after air weapon recovered in Highcliffe
ARMED officers were called to Highcliffe in the early hours of Friday following reports of a man holding an air weapon.
Police were called at 12am to reports of a concern for welfare of a man in Lymington Road.
Officers attended along with the dog section. They were assisted by the NPAS helicopter.
An air weapon was recovered.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and is assisting officers with enquiries.
