A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing into a tree in the New Forest.
The collision, which did not involve any other vehicles, happened at around 7.15am on the A337 Lymington Road, near Brockenhurst on Saturday.
The motorbike, a Honda Cross Runner, collided with a tree. The motorbike rider, a 34-year-old man from Southampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The road was shut both ways while police dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Officers are investigating the circumstances of what took place and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or anyone who was saw the motorbike prior to the collision."
