POLICE have released images of a man they would like to talk to after a woman was sexually assaulted in Christchurch.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking along Stour Road at 1.45am on Saturday, March 10, when she was approached by a man who asked a number of questions.

She was then sexually assaulted over her clothing.

The victim shouted at the attacker and pushed and kicked him. He ran away.

Police were called, but the man wasn’t found.

The woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.

Detective Constable Taylor, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following a number of enquiries I am now in a position to release images of a man I would like to talk to. These pictures are clearly from a train and it might be that the person pictured is not necessarily from Dorset.

“I am appealing for anyone who knows the man pictured or where he might be from to please call police.

“I also urge anyone who was in Stour Road at the relevant time and saw a man acting suspiciously, witnessed the incident or has any information about the man responsible to please contact Dorset Police.

“Finally, I would ask any motorists who were in the Barrack Road or Stour Road area at around 1.45am on Saturday, March 10, and have dashcams fitted in their vehicles to please make contact.”
