TRAINS between Poole and Weymouth were suspended after a truck hit a level crossing.
Police said the truck hit the barriers at Wool station level crossing this morning.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "We were called at 10.46am to Wool West level crossing after reports that a level crossing barrier was struck by a vehicle.
"Officers are attending alongside colleagues from Network Rail to assess any damage caused to the crossing.
"Enquiries are ongoing and there are no reported injuries."
Dorset Police were also called to help with traffic control.
All South Western Railway services on the Weymouth-bound line were temporarily blocked but lines have now re-opened.
However, disruption is expected to last until around 5pm as trains are running at a reduced speed.
