A FIRE which gutted a former brewery in Blandford reignited almost four days later.

As reported in the Daily Echo, a huge blaze ripped through the Old Brewery, previously owned by Hall and Woodhouse, on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 100 firefighters tackled the inferno.

On Saturday morning, the fire started again. It was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

A spokesperson from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said calls were received at around 9.45am.

"Two crews from Blandford attended a small fire in a derelict building following a reignition from a previous incident," the spokesperson said.

"Crews extinguished the hotspots using two hoses and a main line."

The building is on an area of the site undergoing demolition. The main brewery site has not been affected.

Investigations into the cause of the blaze are under way.
