THIS year marks the 250th birthday of circus, and to mark this anniversary, the Bournemouth Echo has £15 family tickets worth a total of £1,770 to give away in a special promotion on Monday.

An international cast of over 30 performers will put on a family spectacular at The Netherlands National Circus at Canford Park Arena this Easter.

The award-winning Duo Extreme (pictured) can be seen flying though the air inside the Big Top as they showcase their skills as aerial performers. As part of their unique act they perform suspended over a tank filled with water and can be seen dancing under water in a fashion similar to synchronised swimming before being elevated once again up in the air to continue with the routine at daredevil heights have just been awarded first prize in a festival of circus artistes, that took place last December and January in Germany. They beat tough competition to win the prestigious award and topped a list of best acts voted for by the public.

Promoter Tony Hopkins said: “We are really excited to be able to bring our brand new show to UK for the first time and we hope it will be well received as we pride ourselves on producing high quality, affordable family entertainment.

“There will be something for everyone as we can guarantee laughs, thrills, suspense and lots of action. It is important to remember that in a world full of digital and virtual entertainment with computer games and the internet, nothing can ever beat bringing the whole family together to witness the magic of a live performance. Several of our acts touring with us in 2018 will be making their UK debut so we will have many new and exciting feats that have never before been seen in this country.”

The Netherlands National Circus is at Bournemouth’s Canford Park Arena from Tuesday, March 27 until Tuesday, April 3 with performances at various times.
