A VILLAGE pub has gone up for sale in west Dorset.
The Kings Arms in Thornford, near Sherborne, is on the market for £97,500 for the leasehold.
The freehouse dates back to the early 1900s and has an open fireplace, restaurant and a skittle alley.
Property specialists Stonesmith, which is marketing the pub, said The Kings Arms has an excellent reputation for real ales, fine wines and home made food, with a popular local following and a strong year round regular trade.
Four skittle teams play there, and it is popular for skittle parties as well as being a venue and meeting place for various other local clubs and societies.
