A FREE monthly kids' club is due to return to the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.

Little Fins for pre-schoolers has its first event of the year on Wednesday, February 21. It will have a woodland theme, where children can join Otto the Owl for interactive storytelling and soft play from 9.30am to 11.30am. Youngsters will be able to paint and decorate animal masks in keeping with the woodland theme.

They can also have their photo taken with Otto the Owl and have a go at Hoop a Bluebird by throwing soft mini hoops onto the freestanding bird and developing their aim.

The shopping centre’s free monthly parent and child activity session takes place every third Wednesday of the month. Each session includes meet and greet guest character appearances, a pop-up soft play area and mini art and craft sessions. There is also storytelling and musical entertainment.

Little Fins is run by the award-winning Crafty Arty World and takes place in an area outside the Beales department store. Booking is not required to attend.

John Grinnell, centre manager, said: “Our popular Little Fins events are always well attended. We’re delighted to offer this free activity session for parents and their children every month.

“It’s the perfect opportunity to bring your children for their chance to socialise. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for local parents to bring their children to enjoy free interactive play with a large variety of toys and an assortment of activities, including art and crafts.”

The second Little Fins event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, with Lilly the Ladybird and a flower themed session.
