A CLASSIC Volkswagen Camper Van has been turned into a photo booth that will turn heads at events such as outdoor weddings.

Beverly White turned her 1979 van into Darling Daisy Camperbooth, complete with an interactive mirror which adds animation and sounds to pictures.

The mirror also includes an on-screen paint pad so guests can write messages, create doodles and paste emojis on their photo.

Beverly said: “I’ve spent the last 25 years in PR and marketing in London and Bournemouth, in the travel and tourist industry and working at the council or the last 13 years, and I started getting itchy feet.

“I wanted to do something that not only took me out of the office environment but something I could use my creativity in.”

“I thought, what are my passions in life? And one of my passions is driving around in the camper van and being outdoors.

“Wherever I took the camper van, she was always a crowd-pleaser and people would always say lovely thing about the van. That started me thinking. I started to follow a camper van in Hawaii on Instagram that did something similar.”

She spent months researching the idea and added the idea of the interactive mirror, along with festival-themed props.

The business was launched in the winter and the diary is filling up with summer weddings and other outdoor events.

She added: “The ‘open space’/festival themed wedding is key for 2018 and Darling Daisy Camperbooth really sets the scene for outdoor weddings.

“Couples are now looking to prioritise unique experiences for their guests, adding more interactive elements to their wedding so they stand out from other wedding celebrations.”

“August is already looking busy for bookings – so we couldn’t be happier. We are really looking forward to bringing Darling Daisy to many weddings and events in Dorset this year.”

Daisy the camper van was originally from the Mission Bay area – a lagoon just north of San Diego, California. Beverly was its first owner in the UK. She restored the seats with cream and blue vinyl and added Cath Kidston curtains.
