IT’S Random Acts of Kindness Day today.
The annual event, which is part of Random Acts of Kindness Week, encourages people to perform a selfless act for someone else or to help the planet.
If you want to get involved but don’t know how to help, the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, known as RAK, has a few ideas to inspire.
It has suggestions on what you can do for your colleagues, children, senior citizens, your friends, family, community and even strangers.
Ideas can include writing positive sticky notes for a co-worker, putting a surprise gift through a stranger’s letterbox, taking out your neighbour’s rubbish or even picking up litter in your town.
The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation says: “Kindness really does start with one—one person, one act, one place, one city, one county, and one movement with one goal in mind: To make our world a kinder place one act at a time.
“And, every single one of us can play a part in this mission.”
If you’re going to be taking part today, we’d love to hear what you’re up to.
