SIX fire engines were called to a sounding alarm in Boscombe.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service was called at 1.15pm on Tuesday to reports of alarms activating and smoke seen in the area of Christchurch Road.
Eight appliances of various types attended, including six fire engines.
It was soon established that this was a false alarm.
