A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after a crash in Wimborne Road, Bournemouth this morning.

The A341 was shut between Durdells Avenue and Bear Cross Roundabout following the incident.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene at around 11.20am.

Two fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the female casualty from her car at the junction of Garsdale Close.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the woman who was trapped is not thought to be seriously injured.

A silver Audi A4 and a white Audi Q3 Quattro were involved in the crash.

The road was re-opened at 2.20pm.
