TWO trespassing teenagers were escorted from a Bournemouth school on Friday.

Police were contacted after two boys, aged around 16, entered the school grounds on bikes at lunchtime.

After they were approached by staff and initially failed to leave, the school contact police.

The youths were then escorted from the site by staff.

Later that afternoon a student's bike, which was locked in the bike shelter was stolen.

This incident has also been reported to police.

Alistair Brien, headteacher of Bournemouth School for Girls, said: "On Friday lunchtime two youths entered the school grounds and were quickly approached by senior staff.

"The two boys were asked to move on but initially did not. Following previous police advice a 999 call was made to police requesting assistance.

"Eventually the youths were escorted off the site by our staff and the police informed. Later that afternoon a locked bike belonging to one of our students was stolen from the locked bike shelter. This was also reported to the police. We have CCTV and photos of both incidents and are currently awaiting further contact from the police."

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police was called at 1.05pm on Friday, January 19 2018, to a report of anti-social behaviour at Bournemouth School for Girls on Castle Gate Close in Bournemouth.

"It was reported that two boys, both approximately 16-years-old, entered the school field on bikes. No arrests were made. The boys left the area shortly afterwards."
