Police are investigating after it is believed a fire was started deliberately at B&Q.
Three fire crews were sent to the DIY store at Fleetsbridge at 11.22am on Saturday following initial reports of a hand dryer on fire.
Shoppers were also evacuated from the store.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three crews from Poole, Westbourne and an aerial appliance from Westbourne attended a large retail premises to reports of a fire located in the toilets.
"Upon inspection this was deemed to be possibly malicious and the incident was handed over to police."
