HOMES in Mudeford have recently been targeted by burglars, police have warned.

Officers serving in the area's neighbourhood policing team were first called to a break-in at a property in Falcon Drive.

The elderly victim had left the property between 4pm and 7.30pm on January 12, returning to discover their home had been broken into.

The offenders gained entry through a rear glass door and made an untidy search in the bedroom.

Nothing was stolen.

A further attempted burglary took place at a property in Dunlin Close, which is the next street along.

The property was vacant and the time of the break in is not known. However, police say the offenders also broke in through a rear glass door.

A tidy search of the house was made and nothing was stolen.
