Traffic on the Upton Bypass is slow and almost stationary this morning as roadworks begin on the road.
Drivers have been warned to brace themselves for further delays on the road as 14 weeks of works have been scheduled to install concrete barriers to protect the A350 bridge.

DCC cabinet member for the natural and built environment, Cllr Daryl Turner, said: “We know these works will cause delay - give yourself extra time for your journey.”
Lane closures started on Sunday, along with a 30mph speed limit through the works area and a 50mph limit leading into the affected section.
