A MAN has appeared in court following a huge blaze at a property in West Moors.
Phillip Paul Evans, 55, of Ringwood Road, Three Legged Cross, appeared at Poole magistrates charged with arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and harassment.
He has been sent to Bournemouth Crown Court and will remain in custody. Evans is due to appear on Thursday, February 8.
He was charged in relation to an incident at The Avenue in West Moors on Tuesday.
It was reported that a fire occurred at a property in The Avenue.
Around 25 firefighters tackled the blaze for more than an hour and the house was left in a state of ruin.
Crews from five stations across Dorset and Hampshire attended the scene, along with police and ambulance crews.
A cordon was in place around the property on Wednesday afternoon.
