THE Daily Echo Job Fair is returning to introduce employers to the people who could be their new recruits.

The next job fair will be on Thursday, February 8, from 10.30am-4pm.

It will be held at the Premier Inn in Westover Road, Bournemouth, and will be free for the public to enter.

The event is an excellent opportunity for employers to promote themselves as great places to work.

It offers the opportunity to meet potential employees face to face, saving valuable time in the recruitment process.

The Daily Echo will be promoting the job fair in print and online across its titles, and on its regional recruitment website sw1.jobs.com – ensuring that the event attracts the best talent the local area has to offer.

For job hunters, the Daily Echo Job Fair is an ideal opportunity to browse a wide selection of companies and public bodies who are looking to hire.

It offers a chance to speak to potential employers informally and get an idea of the kind of people they’re after and their workplace culture. It’s the ideal way to get the feel of an organisation’s approach before getting into a formal application process.

The event traditionally brings together dozens of potential employers and training associations under one roof, in a wide range of sectors.

Whether leaving education or changing careers, job-hunters are encouraged to come armed with CVs, ready to hand to would-be employers who interest them. From bus companies to law firms, and from care agencies to motor dealers, the events match people with a host of opportunities.

Angela Boyer, sales and events manager at the Daily Echo and associated titles, said: “The Daily Echo Job Fair is a fantastic opportunity to meet job seekers face to face in a positive environment.

“Employers can showcase their companies and discuss the vacancies they have, matching potential employees’ skills to the roles they are trying to fill.

“Many local employers state how the Fair makes recruiting an easier, speedier task, with interviews often arranged on the day.

“Visitor numbers on the day average 800-plus. Where else could you meet so many people looking for a job or seeking to change careers?”
