POLICE have released a CCTV image of a suspect after a member of staff was assaulted at a store in Poole.

The incident occurred at around 6.10pm on Thursday, November 30, at B&M on Mannings Heath Retail Park in Yarrow Road.

It is reported that a woman entered the store with three younger women, picked up some items and made no attempt to pay for them.

When challenged by a member of staff, the woman grabbed the victim and pulled her hair before leaving empty handed.

The woman is described as white, aged in her 30s, five feet seven inches tall and with dark hair worn in a ponytail.

The victim – a local woman aged in her 20s – was shaken but not physically injured.

Police say the woman spoke in an Irish accent and drove away in a silver Mercedes before officers arrived.

Police Constable Alex Kimmins, of Poole police, said: “I would ask anyone who recognises this woman to please contact Dorset Police.”
